Role Overview

Splan is seeking a Product Engineering Lead / SaaS Technical Lead to drive architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS products.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building high-performing engineering teams, defining technical direction, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality products. You will work at the intersection of AI, cloud, and security platforms, shaping the core of Splan’s product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Define and drive scalable SaaS architecture (multi-tenant, cloud-native, microservices)

  • Lead design and development of core platform components and services

  • Ensure high standards for performance, scalability, security, and reliability

Product Engineering Execution

  • Lead end-to-end product development from design to deployment

  • Collaborate with Product Management to translate requirements into technical solutions

  • Drive Agile development and ensure high-quality code and delivery standards

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team

  • Establish best practices for coding, design reviews, and DevOps

  • Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement

Cloud, DevOps & Platform Engineering

  • Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation

  • Ensure system observability, monitoring, and incident response readiness

Security & Compliance

  • Design secure systems aligned with enterprise requirements

  • Ensure compliance with standards such as SOC2, ISO, and other regulatory frameworks

  • Implement identity, access, and data protection best practices

Integration & Ecosystem

  • Build integrations with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft, Okta, SailPoint, and Saviynt

  • Develop APIs and frameworks for partner ecosystem expansion

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in software engineering, with 3–5 years in a technical leadership role

  • Proven experience building enterprise SaaS platforms at scale

  • Strong background in cloud-native architecture and distributed systems

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in modern tech stack (Java, Python, Node.js, React, etc.)

  • Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and messaging systems

Leadership Skills

  • Strong ability to lead and mentor engineering teams

  • Excellent problem-solving and architectural thinking

  • Ability to balance technical depth with execution speed

Preferred

  • Experience in IAM, IGA, PIAM, or cybersecurity platforms

  • Exposure to AI/ML, GenAI, or Agentic AI architectures

  • Experience in high-growth startups or product companies
